چکیده

Objectives Primary objective of this study was to evaluate influence of JIA subtype and duration of metotrexate (MTX) and steroids treatment on time to achieve and ability to maintain remission in JIA patients on biologic treatment. The second aim was to establish if there is contribution of tumor necrosis factor ά (TNFά–308) promoter and FokI vitamin D receptor (VDR) polymorphism on clinical outcome and possibility to discontinue treatment in JIA patients treated with biologics.

PReS-FINAL-2093: Can clinical response within 12 weeks in JIA-etanercept receivers predict the future clinical remission?

Introduction Induction of inactive disease (ID) in Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis (JIA) is the main target of all current regimes, as it will maintain physical ability and hinder disease associated-damage. Early predictive markers for the future achievement of ID in patients under expensive therapies are therefore urgently needed in the era of financial recession. Our previous published experien...

Single-Agent Therapy for Low Risk Gestational Trophoblastic Neoplasia (LRGTN): A Preliminary Report on a Randomized Clinical Trial to Compare Pulse-Methotrexate versus Pulse-Dactinomycin

The efficacy of single-agent chemotherapy for patients with low risk gestational trophoblastic neoplasia (LRGTN) with methotrexate or dactinomycin is well established, but efforts continue to reduce the toxicity, the patients time and cost of treatment. In a randomized clinical trial, we evaluated and compared the efficacy, toxicity and cost effectiveness of pulse-methotrexate versus pulse-dact...
